Mindful Eating

Food is used often used to cope with emotions such as anxiety, sadness, loneliness, boredom or pain. We may eat mindlessly at the computer while frantically finishing a work deadline, finish a bag of chips before you know it while watching Netflix, or drink excessively to forget about what happened at work that day. These coping mechanisms only give us temporary relief and can lead to heightened states of these emotions or feelings of guilt
